2. HOW TO PLAY your chess games

1. Join the Zoom Meeting (Opens at 9.30am each day)
  • Make sure you join the Video Conference (green button) so you can communicate with Arbiters on the day of the event
  • You can access the Zoom meeting by clicking the link above or by clicking the green button 'Open Zoom room' on your Tornelo Lobby Page
  • All players must Join the Arbiter's Meeting Room. No anonymity allowed!​

2. Sign in to Tornelo
  • Go to the Tournament Lobby (links above), and try logging in (if you can't, try resetting your password)
  • If you sign-in with the same email address you used to register then there will be no problems!
If you sign-in with a different email address the coach will need to give you a Token to link your Tornelo account with your email address. But don't panic, the arbiter will help you on the day of the event! :)
The most important thing is for you to create an account (any email address), sign in and join the Zoom meeting.

3. Tick the box 'Check-in' If you do not Check-in then you will not be included in the pairings for Round 1 and may miss your first game.

4. Playing Games 
  1. Make sure you are signed in
  2. Be in the Tournament Lobby when the arbiter starts the event
  3. Click Play Now
  4. When your opponent is present, make a move
  5. To make a move, click on a piece, then click the destination square
  6. If you have any questions or problems DURING a game, please call the arbiter in the Call Arbiter button

3. Accessing the alternative rooms

Please update your Zoom app to the latest version to make it easier to access the breakout rooms!
CHILL OUT ROOM (ALL CAN ACCESS)
To access the 'Chill out room' make sure you are in the main Zoom Meeting!
1. Click the button at the bottom of your Zoom screen that says 'Breakout Rooms'
2. Click 'Chill Out Room'
To go back to the main Zoom Meeting once your next game is about to start:
1. Click the Blue button at the right bottom corner that says 'Leave Room'
2. Click 'Leave Breakout Room'
VIP COACHING LOUNGE ROOM
If eligible, you will receive a Password to access the Coaching Lounge Room.

1. On the Tournament Lobby page, click the VIP Coaching Lounge 'Join Now' button and enter the password when asked.
2. If you also have access to the VIP Private Coaching Room, the Private Coaching Breakout room will be available for you to go to and fro your private game analysis on Zoom!
Don't forget to go back to play your tournament games!
