Upon his return to Australia, Simon founded The Storey Players with Tina Storey and began creating theatre in Australia. They launched the company in 2017 with a 17,000-kilometre tour of ‘The Ghost of John King’ which tells the story of King, the only survivor of the Burke and Wills expedition. Since this tour the company has regularly visited remote Indigenous communities facilitating drama workshops and creating stories through theatre with the local children.
