SESSIONS are 50 minutes in duration

IS EACH SESSION DIFFERENT?
Every session during the week is different, so you can attend every session without repetition. If you enjoy these classes please get involved regularly in our weekly lessons.

HOW MANY IN A GROUP?
These are live and interactive, small group sessions. We average around 15 students per coach. We ensure that all participants get reasonable levels of individual interaction and engagement.

WHAT DO WE NEED?
You will connect via the internet through a computer, laptop, tablet or phone. A web-cam and microphone will enhance your experience.

Please have basic arts and crafts materials handy in all sessions (paper, pencils, tape and scissors).

To make the most of some activities (eg. cooking) you will be emailed a list of materials to prepare in advance if needed.

PROGRAMs

Pattern Recognition
Patterns are all around us - from human fingerprints, zebra crossings, warm current flows in oceans to the beautiful arrangement of a rosebud. Students will learn how to identify patterns and to apply it to solve problems using the Rubiks Cube, Tower of Hanoi and Sudoku.

Paper planes
In this fun and interactive session, children will be actively involved in the scientific process of improving their planes. Modifications will also be a part of the class and provide an additional challenge – testing their knowledge of flight principles as well as their design and problem-solving skills.

Creative Writing
Children are encouraged to explore a variety of themes and questions to get their imaginative juices flowing, using an appropriate structure to help them learn how to and what to write.

Astronomy
Take a look into space and explore various realms of science.
Students learn about theories of the universe and compare what is known to what is still yet to be found.

Chess
Chess is a fascinating game of skill and strategy. Our chess masters will show you to think about the game in ways you've never considered. Long term strategy and short term tactics, opening theory and endgame plans.

Marine Biology
In this engaging session, students will not only learn about what mysterious creatures inhabit our rich seas but also what threats are currently present to them and how to protect our blue planet.

Coding - Python
Python is a powerful multi-purpose programming language used in some of the world’s most popular applications from companies like NASA, Google, Mozilla, and Microsoft. In this coding session, students will learn the principals of Python and how to write commands like a real coder!

Cooking
We provide fully interactive cooking classes for children run by Foost. Create a selection of dishes from around the world, a different delicious dish to take home each session.
Runs for 1.5h, for the first hour your child will join one of the other activities on offer - what a great way to try it out!

Learn how to think and solve problems like an Engineer! Students will learn how to identify issues, solve problems and construct things with unusual materials, all as part of a team.

Physics
Involving matter and its motion as well as how it interacts with energy and forces, we will explore physics in experiments and activities, creating electricity, force and light.

Arts & Design
Children will explore their creativity through a range of mediums and tools. From paint and sketching to plaster moulds and cardboard creations, by the end of the session, they will have created something beautiful to take home.
