LESSON STRUCTURE
Each half-hr lesson our coach will present:
a) Context (Why are we learning this?)
b) Theory (What is it that we are learning?)

At the end of the lesson we will provide students with:
c) Guided Practice (An activity to re-enforce their learning, which is completed in their own time)
d) Independent Tasks (Further opportunities to extend or enrich their understanding)

WHAT AGE GROUP IS THIS FOR?
Anyone in Primary School.

Based on numbers, we may split sessions and run different content for Prep-3 and Grades 4-6.

CONTINUE PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES for social interaction with like-minded peers.

Hanging out with stressed parents and siblings all day would drive anyone crazy. Classmates are great, but it's not the same as when all the chess club has a laugh together at a chess joke that nobody else gets!
(Why was the Grandmaster scared to play against an Ape? Because the Ape had won be-fore.)

SCHEDULE
We provide 20 x half-hr activities each week!

HOW MANY STUDENTS IN A GROUP?
These are live and interactive, small group sessions. We will have up to 3 expert staff online during each of these sessions; a presenter, moderator and producer. We find that a group of up to 15 students all get reasonable interaction and engagement.

WHAT DO STUDENTS NEED?
You will connect via the internet through a computer, laptop, tablet or phone. A web-cam and microphone will enhance your experience.

Nothing else is required. However, to make the most of some activities (eg. cooking) we may recommend that you prepare some materials prior to joining the session.  We email a list of materials to prepare in advance.

IS EACH SESSION DIFFERENT?
Every session is different, students can attend every session without repetition.

WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN WE OFFER?
The list is LONG! We would offer a suitable selection from a variety of our 8 Learning Areas:
  • Arts & Humanities
  • Sports
  • Cooking & Nutrition
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Communication Skills
