Our Journey

Our Team 2025 Christmas Party

For almost 30 years, Kids Unlimited has been inspiring children to learn, create, explore, and discover what they’re capable of.

Our story began in 1997 as Chess Kids, with a simple belief: every child has the ability to learn, think creatively and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom. What started as a passion for chess grew into a trusted education provider working with schools and thousands of children across Australia.

In 2016, we evolved into Kids Unlimited, expanding beyond chess to offer a diverse range of engaging learning experiences across STEM, creativity, sport and performing arts. While our programs have grown, our purpose has remained the same — to inspire children to become curious, confident and lifelong learners.

Today, Kids Unlimited delivers programs in schools and vacation care services across Australia, giving children opportunities to discover new interests, develop practical skills and, most importantly, have fun while learning.

In 2023, Kids Unlimited became part of Team Kids, bringing together our specialist learning programs with one of Australia's leading out-of-school-hours and vacation care providers. Together, we are able to reach more children and create even more opportunities for learning, discovery, and connection.

Where we are heading

We continue to evolve with the needs of children, schools and families — developing new programs, embracing new ideas and finding better ways to make learning exciting and accessible.
Our vision is simple:

Inspire the potential in every child.

Because every child has something they can discover, something they can create and something they can become.
